Cassiopeia is a constellation depicting the legendary Queen of Ethiopia. It is easily observable for its characteristic "W" shape, it is crossed by the Milky Way and is therefore rich in stars.
In Greek mythology, Cassiopeia was queen of Ethiopia and boasted of her daughter Andromeda’s unrivalled beauty. After a long tale involving Perseus, Pegasus, and Cetusthe sea monster, the queen and her husband Cepheus were banished to the stars, ever clinging to the spinning north celestial pole.
